The surrounding frame is a work or art in itself and are specifically designed for Motawi Tiles. They are constructed from 3 inch quarter sawn oak stock. The finish, which has taken many years to perfect, is a four step process, the final of which is a hand rubbed wax. Each frame is beveled slightly toward the middle to enhance the tile and joined using a biscuit to provide a strong long lasting joint. Each frame will provide beauty and enjoyment for many years to come. Every piece comes with an artist’s story card.
