The jewelry designed by Dawn Estrin and George Wilson is about creating unique and aesthetic settings for the images that they have created or collected. The images are miniaturized, printed on archival paper, and accented by semi-precious stones and pearls.
In this case the silver frame has two intricate leaves embellishing the top with a tiny Swarovski Crystal set between them and an aventurine and fresh water pearl dangle from the bottom. The image of the raven is stunning, it is covered with polycarbonate and sealed in place by two handcrafted prongs, adding even more character to the already amazing piece. The back side is also finished off with a black and white image of a couple embracing.
All of the pieces are handmade from oxidized sterling silver. This necklace is not waterproof and should be handled carefully. The silver can be cleaned with a Q-tip and a tiny amount of silver polish. The protective polycarbonate plastic can be cleaned with a Q-tip and tiny amount of rubbing alcohol.
